Speeches, Articles, and Press Releases from the Thomas J. Dodd Papers (1919-1971). This collection includes nearly all of Dodd’s public statements. This subseries is arranged chronologically and spans his Senate and House career (1953-57, 1959-71). The Senate material precedes that of the House. Each individual item from the Senate years is cited in the box and folder list. The Congressional Record provides Dodd’s comments on the floor of the Senate. His press releases are all listed with various references to their subject, regardless of whether or not they were titled. Some speeches may have gone undelivered, but the drafts are available for review.
