Index to Connecticut Special Acts, (1944-2013). This index provides access to all special acts passed during all sessions, regular and special, of the Connecticut General Assembly for the years 1944 through 2013. Special acts are enactments of the Connecticut General Assembly that are not codified in the General Statutes of Connecticut but carries the same force of law. They include charters of municipalities, corporations and nonprofit organizations, actions and claims of individuals against municipalities and the state, state bond authorizations, grants of pensions to individuals, and validating acts. Special sections of public acts, that is, those sections of public acts that are not codified in the General Statutes of Connecticut, have also been indexed when the content of those sections would normally be found in a special act. These include the Ancient Order of Hibernians, John T. Downey Division, Inc., corporate existence validated, PA (Public Act) 94–3 (Nov. Sp. Session)13. “Sec. 13. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of section 33-497 of the general statutes, the time within which Ancient Order of Hibernians, John T. Downey Division, Inc. may be reinstated as a nonstock corporation is extended to July 1, 1995 (originating on December 6, 1994, and all acts of said corporation and all its corporate rights and all acts of its officers and directors which would have been valid if it had not failed to file its reports within the time limited by law are validated, provided said corporation shall file an application for reinstatement and comply with the provisions of section 33-497 of the general statutes not later than July 1, 1995.
